We all know that October is Breast Cancer Month. I was lucky enough to be chosen to photograph a wonderful charity event that was given by Teenagers. Hockey Players at that. The school I am talking about is Northwest High School in Cedar Hill Missouri
These boys on the The Varsity team as well as the B and C team took time out and played hockey games against other area teams to raise money for Breast Cancer. It was called “Pink in the Rink” They charged a small fee to get in and sold T-shirts and Hoodies as well as played and dressed up in Pink. Fenton Forum Ice Rink Also donated there rink for this event.
This it was inspired by a teacher that lost the battle to breast cancer Mrs. Simos so very young and Very well loved by Northwest and is missed.
Well they raised around 1000.00 Dollars and donated to a local charity in Mrs.Simos name who are facing these same battles and the many expenses . It is a way for Northwest Ice Hockey to give and support those in fight against cancer.
Here are a few pictures to show you how fantastic and proud Northwest is. http://franzsfeaturedfotos.wix.com/peggy-franz
